With the chassis construction of the SX3 serie 4 (2008) the philosophy – easy handling with maximum traction and steering performance – of the successful SX3 (2007) has been still optimised.

The new carbon fibre side stiffeners are available in three different sizes in order to be able to adapt the stiffness of the chassis on different track conditions. Changes in this section of the chassis have a considerable effect on the driving behaviour of the car. On slippery tracks the 2mm stiffeners should be mounted in order to get additional traction. The 3 mm bar leads to maximum stiffness and provides a distortion free chassis with extreme grip conditions. The 2,5 mm size can be mounted on almost every track.
